Marine Broth Recipe

  1. Dissolve the following in 850ml of distilled water
    • 5g Bacto peptone
    • 1g Yeast extract
    • 0.1g Fe(III) citrate
    • 19.45g NaCl
    • 5.9g MgCl2 (anhydrous)
    • 3.24g NaSO4
    • 1.8g CaCl2
    • 0.55g KCl
    • 0.16g Na2CO3
    • 0.08g KBr
    • 0.034g SrCl2
    • 0.022g H3BO3
    • 0.004g Na-silicate
    • 0.0024g NaF
    • 0.0016g NH4NO3
    • 0.008g Na2HPO4
  2. Adjust pH to 7.6
  3. Bring to 1000ml with distilled water
  4. Autoclave or filter sterilize
