Researchers from the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria are racing cars made of single molecules!

These nano-cars can be propelled by electric jolts generated by a scanning tunneling microscope. With an average speed of up to 35 nanometers per hour, the so-called NanoCar Race promises to be thrilling! Seating to watch the race is limited as the whole race track is thinner than a human hair.
